Normally I do this in the Blog, but I thought I'd do it here today.

Pocket Informant 9 is currently on track to be released within the next month or so. We'll be adding some more beta people to the private beta soon (possibly this week). Then we'll be doing a public beta.

PI 9 has some major new features focusing on GTD, user interface gestures, editors, and more. I have kept very very quiet about it for many reasons, but that's going to change soon :)

I would really like to be on the initial beta testing, if possible please.

Thank you

Is PI 9 still going to be supporting the PITools API interface? I ask because I just updated my software to allow creation of appointments and tasks through PI's interface (rather than Pocket Outlook).

PI 9 may be a free upgrade at this point...it depends on actual date of release.

So does it make sense to wait on PI9 since I have 15 days on PI8 until I need to activate or uninstall? If I could get PI9 for free ;), that would be good! haha

If you're this close, it won't hurt.

Alex, I assume PI7 can upgrade to PI9 right? If so, do you have a version of PI7 I can install (or a bastardized key I can use to activate PI8 until 9)? I really need something to use today if possible ot "get organized" once again - just got my device today that is why.

Looking forward to the new GTD features and the user interface gestures. 2 important areas for me.

You've revealed practically nothing and I'm sold already. I'm too easy. :)

Alex - Would LOVE to be part of the beta as soon as able. Sign me up (among what I am sure is a throng of PI users in line to participate)!

Thanks - David
