iOS Startup Crash - Online Support Requests

What do I do if Pocket Informant crashes on startup

We are aware of two relatively rare situations that can occur causing Pocket Informant to crash on startup. We are working on addressing the core issues in a future update, but until then, if you experience this symptom, please follow these steps. The first step clears a corrupted setting by uninstalling and reinstalling the application, while saving the database. If that does not work there may be data corruption in the database and we expect to get back to you within the same to next business day:

The first step is to get your database out of Pocket Informant via iTunes Document Sharing.
  1. Connect your iOS device to your computer using the included Dock Connector to USB cable.
  2. Open iTunes on your computer.
  3. Select your iOS device from the Devices section on the left side of iTunes.
  4. Click the Apps tab and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
  5. Under the File Sharing section, you should find a list of apps currently installed on your iOS device that use File Sharing (such as Pocket Informant). Select Pocket Informant to view a list of the files.
  6. Drag the pim.informantdata file to your desktop
  7. Uninstall Pocket Informant, and then use the App Store's Purchased section to reinstall.
  8. Now drag the pim.informantdata file back into iTunes.
  9. Start Pocket Informant up.
If you still are encountering an issue with crashing at startup, then continue below.

Now that you have the file enter your information below and attach the file here. We will fix the database issue for you and email you back a fixed database.
